Inés Ballesteros Soprano, Spain “I've always liked acting and singing a lot. I think I was born wanting to dedicate myself to music.” What inspired you to become a singer? I've always liked acting and singing a lot. I think I was born wanting to dedicate myself to music and I started studying from a very young age; first piano, then singing, percussion, guitar, and clarinet. What is the role of your dreams and why? Amine of La Sonnambula. I think we have a very similar personality and Bellini's music inspires me a lot. Who is your favorite singer and why? Claudia Muzio. It is the epitome of sensitivity and technical perfection. What do you hope to achieve by participating in the The Queen Sonja International Music Competition? It is a great opportunity to participate in a contest like this one. I would like to get to know another audience, but above all have fun and have the audience enjoy my performance. Tell us something surprising or unexpected about yourself! I love to dance! I take flamenco and salsa classes, and when I go to salsa parties everyone thinks I'm Latina because of how I dance.
