Baritone, Poland
“It is a business that changes and develops very fast, especially over the last couple of years - I am trying to keep up.”

What inspired you to become a singer?
Since I was six years old I have been in a choir, and to put it simply, music became something that I can't live without. It is one of the few things that I am actually certain I am good at.

What’s your dream role and why?
There are many dream roles, but to name one, I would have to say Rigoletto or Posa.

Who is your favourite singer and why?
I have always been a fan of Dmitri Hvorostovsky. I have met him on my choir travels. Besides his voice, which I personally like, his musicality and honesty on stage are just.... honest. And I simply believe every note and word he sings.

What do you hope to achieve by participating in The Queen Sonja International Music
Competition?

I want to perform in front of a great jury and show myself to the world. No matter what comes of it later, I am ready for it.

What kind of demands do you believe the future’s opera singers must fulfill to make a career?
Besides the technical point of view; musicality, mastering different languages, the honesty - which I mentioned above. There are of course some other aspects, promotional ones such as social media activity and working with managers. It is a business that changes and develops very fast, especially over the last couple of years - I am trying to keep up.
