«I am the third of five children in a family of musicians, and together we created a polyphonic vocal group.»

What inspired you to become a singer?

I was inspired to become a singer by my father who is a fantastic pianist and tenor. He sings in the choir of Teatro alla Scala of Milan.

What’s your dream role and why?
My dream role is Rodolfo in Puccini's Bohème because I love the overall opera itself and Rodolfo's romantic and artistic temperament as well as his arias.

Who is your favourite singer and why?
My favourite singer is Fritz Wunderlich because of his natural and spontaneous way of singing and his very elegant phrasing.

What do you hope to achieve by participating in The Queen Sonja International Music Competition?
I hope to measure and compare my skills to those of many other professional singers coming from different countries, and of course I hope to achieve a good position and maybe win the competition.

Tell us something surprising or unexpected about yourself!
I am the third of five sons in a family of musicians, and together we created a polyphonic vocal group (Gruppo polifonico vocale Famiglia Sala). We have many concerts together, and have also won important competitions and prizes.

Is there anything else you would like to tell us, which might be interesting to the public?
I like using, buying and repairing electronic devices, and I like listening to different musical genres from classical music to rock, folk and pop music.
