Sunday 24 October 14.30 – 21.30 CET

To accommodate for the ongoing travel restrictions in Norway and in other parts of the world, this year’s semi-final will be held live and online Sunday 24 October.

12 excellent singers from 8 nations will perform operatic arias and lieder together with their own pianists. The performers are located all around the world, spread across 6 time zones.

Originally, the semi-final was planned to be held in the Lindeman Hall in Oslo. Since this is not possible due to the pandemic, we will instead invite an audience to the Lindeman Hall where we will show the livestream of the semi-final on a big screen. During the breaks and after the performances, industry representatives will participate in panel discussions.

We welcome you to follow the livestream of the performances and panel discussions, that will be broadcasted on the competition’s YouTube channel. The performances are scheduled between 3 pm and 8 pm CET.

The international jury will choose 6 participants to proceed to the final concert in Bergen 20 November.

The results of the semi-final will be announced at approximately 21:00.
