Stein Olav Henrichsen (Director of The Munch Museum) and Randi Stene (internationally renowned mezzo-soprano) have been elected as new board members for The Queen Sonja International Music Competition foundation.
Birger Magnus (Chairman of the Board for the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation) has been elected for a second term. Einar Solbu (Chairman) and Ingrid Stange continue their involvement.
- The New board is well equipped to develop the Competition’s national and international position, says Chairman Einar Solbu. I look forward with high expectations to the work we will do together in the coming weeks and months.
Board members are chosen by the foundation’s council. The group consists of representatives from the competition’s founding institutions: The Norwegian National Opera & Ballet, Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra, The Lindeman Foundation, The Norwegian Academy of Music, The Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation, The Norwegian Society of Soloists and The Oslo National Academy of the Arts.
